The road (plane, really) to Damascus...

Hello, all!

We're of for the weekend to Damascus to take in the sights and hang out where Paul had his big conversion. We'll be back in Kuwait on the 25th when (insha'Allah) Cher Martin will come and visit for a few days.

If you need to get a hold of us, we'll have Brent's cellphone: +965 640 7322.

Peace,

Baby Roth is Here!

The 4am hour on Feb. 8 saw the arrival of Benjamin Paul Roth, weighing in at 8.5lbs and healthy.

So, congratulations to the proud parents, Randall and Carrie, and to the Roth clan, who have a first grandchild/nephew! Well done!

5 Days of Dust...

...and my lungs're feeling it!

I looked out the window this morning and--dare I be hopeful?--saw that the air looked a little clearer, so perhaps our dust event might be drawing to a close. Fine days ago, the wind picked up and changed direction, choking Kuwait in a cloud of superfine desert dust that gets everywhere and irritates the lungs.

I'd also like to send a belated blog-birthday-greeting to my wonderful wife, who had her birthday on Feb. 1. We had a lovely weekend, a two-day birthday affair, with much food and goodies, some time on the town and some good stay-in relaxing.

Also, after seven weeks, my clunky cast is finally off, leaving me with a stiff wrist and dreams of playing hockey again sometime in the near future.

And finally, we're still waiting to hear about Baby Roth, who is a few days overdue. Blessings, Radall and Carrie--we're praying for you!
